All morning before and all evening after the iShonan Charity Concert (http://ishonan.com/stores/charity-concert-2010/index_e.html) a cool and generous restaurant/bar is kindly donating in B4B style in support of Room to Read. Come out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks - it's an all day opportunity for making books.
They're donating all day, and we'll be having an after-concert "nijikai" that will start around 5PM with lots of delicious drink, tasty food, and friendly people. Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to bring along friends.
We can't tell you where it is at, but can tell you that it is somewhere near Enoshima and Katase Enoshima stations and its along the river... For the exact location you can email gary(at)robertleonard.jp or rtrshonan(at)yahoo.com in English or Japanese.
For those of you new to Beers for Books, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via their Local Language Publishing program.
Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy and gender equality in education. Come on out for a Saturday of fun and frolic at in our mysterious location and make lots of books for kids. Hope to see you there!
