Beers for BOOks Halloween Spooktacular @ Biervana w/special guest Emily Leys

Please join us in welcoming special guest Emily Leys, Global Director of Room to Read's Girls' Education Program, in a Halloween spooktacular to scare away childhood illiteracy worldwide.

We encourage you to come dressed up as your favorite literary character and enjoy a fun night of education, fundraising and B4B mirth making at Biervana, our long-term Beers for Books supporter.

For those of you new to Beers for Books, the concept is simple: For every drink you have 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via Room to Read.

Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy. Room to Read has projects in 10 countries in Asia and Africa including Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. For more details see www.roomtoread.org or in Japanese www.roomtoread.jp.

There is no cost to join the event but we'll have a 1000 yen suggested donation at the door which gets you three raffle tickets for the raffle prize drawing and your donation will fund 20 books for kids thanks to a generous matching donation from Better World Books as part of Booktober 2012.

Emily will make a short presentation about the Girls' Education program followed by Q&Q from 7:30-8PM (通訳あり) and then the Halloween mayhem will begin so come early or come late, but do come thirsty.

来る10月31日に、ルームトゥーリードの女子教育支援プログラムの責任者エミリー・レイズの来日ウエルカムイベントを開催します。世界中の子供たちに本を読む楽しみを伝えるために、ハロウィーンのコスチュームを着て、パーティに参加しませんか？

参加者は、好きな本に出てくるお気に入りの登場人物の扮装をしていらしてください。（会社帰りで着替える時間がない方はスーツでも大丈夫です）

一緒に、読書と教育の機会を世界中の子供が得られるようにファンドレイジングとB4B の夜を一緒に楽しみましょう。

会場は、108種類ものビールが常備していることBierVanaです。BierVanaは、長年Beer for Books の活動を支援してくださっています。

入場料は無料ですが、入り口のところで販売しているラッフルズチケット1000円をぜひご購入ください。そのチケットを購入していただくと、ベターワールドブックスからBooktober（本book　と10月october をかけあわせた言葉です） スペシャル企画として同額の1000円の寄付をいただけます。つまり、さらに20冊の本を子供たちに届けられます。また、パーティの間に、チケット購入者に素敵な景品が当たる抽選会もあります。

女子教育支援プログラムについて話を聞きたい！という方は
19時半〜20時にエミリーのプレゼンテーションがあります。(通訳あり)

プレゼンテーションが終わったあとは、通常のハロウィーンパーティをスタートします。何時に来ても楽しいこと間違いなしです。

パーティの間、どんな飲み物でも一杯（ビールだけではありません。ソフトドリンクもワインもカクテルでもOK です）につき、100円（＝本一冊分）が寄付されます。予約も必要ありませんし、どんな方にも来ていただけるイベントです。どうぞ、みなさまお誘い合わせの上、ご来場くださいませ。
