Beers for Books Los Angeles Launch Party @ SOUTH 8/16!

We are thrilled to announce that James Price has taken the lead to launch the very first Beers for Books event in the LA area at SOUTH, a Southern-style restaurant/bar in Santa Monica!

For those of you new to B4B, the concept is simple: For every drink you have $1.00 will be donated to Room to Read and that buys one treasured local-language book for kids in places like Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. Have a drink, create a book!

Started in Tokyo in early 2009, the Beers for Books concept is taking the world by storm. Having an event in Los Angeles is a major milestone and we hope that the idea will take root and grow in all of LA's diverse neighborhoods.

James will also be launching his new line of greeting cards to support childhood literacy initiatives, Cards for Kids www.cardsforkids.org, and will have his card collections there too.

Let's get B4B started right in LA, so come on out with your friends for some Southern hospitality and have a great time with friendly people while supporting the kids!
