Stand Up! X Beats for Books @ Secret Club in Shimokitazawa

Singer/rapper/MC/rock guitarist Jesse McFaddin, the front-man from Japanese alternative 3-piece rock band “RIZE” will be putting on a special live performance for his hardcore fans in a collaboration with B4B called Stand Up! X Beats for Books  on Friday, January 11^th!

The show, featuring Jesse’s new solo album “Stand Up!” is already SOLD OUT and will be held at a secret venue in Shimokitazawa.  Like all B4B’s, 100 yen from every drink sold on the night will be donated to Room to Read and will fund one high-quality local-language children’s book via their Book Publishing Program.

Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy. Room to Read has projects in 10 countries in Asia and Africa including Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. For more details see www.roomtoread.org or in Japanese www.roomtoread.jp.

We’re thrilled to have Jesse supporting Room to Read and B4B.  Not only is he an accomplished musician/producer/composter he’s also a fashion icon among young people worldwide with his brand SLIP& Co. , frequent appearances on TV and fashion magazines, and in collaborations such as Zippo, Red Bull, Vans, Sony, etc.

The album “Stand Up!” is a limited edition project with 16 songs including a song with an American Idol finalist and an arrangement of the song “Stand” made famous by his father Char.  Only 1,111 copies of the album were sold and it includes items from SLIP& Co, lots of digital bonuses, and more fashion items from collaborators such as MARITHÉ+FRANÇOIS GIRBAUD.
