The Moose is Loose! Beers for Books @ Biervana

Canada's oldest independent brewer is launching its famed Moosehead lager in Japan and you (including Canadians and Japanese fans of Canada) are invited to come celebrate with a fun Beers for Books event at BierVana in Akasaka Mitsuke!

Since 1867 Moosehead has been brewing in eastern Canada and we're throwing a Canada-themed night with Canadian highlights on the big screen, a Canada quiz for prizes, and of course Canadian BEER--all for a great cause with Beers for Books. Sounds like fun, eh?

For those of you new to B4B, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via Room to Read.

Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy. ムースヘッドはカナダ東部において1867年よりビール醸造に従事しており、ついに日本に進出ことになりました。今回のイベントでは、巨大スクリーンでカナダの映像を楽しみながら、クイズ大会、そして「ビール！」を味わって頂けます。今回のイベン
トはチャリティーを兼ねており、収益の一部がビア―ズ・フォー・ブックスを通じてルーム・トゥ・リードへ寄付されます。

ビアーズ・フォー・ブックスのコンセプトは至って簡単！皆さんの飲むビール１杯につき100円が寄付金され、発展途上国の子供達に現地語で書かれた児童書の作成、図書館・学校建設の費用にあてあれられます。

ルーム・トゥ・リードは皆さんの支援により成り立っており、開発途上国の子供たちの識字率を向上のため、日々活動し続けています。現在では9カ国において精力的に活動中で、その活動はアジアからアフリカ（ネパール、カンボジア、ザンビアなど）
