Event Description
We're all set for a huge Beers for Books celebration in Osaka on Saturday, November 28th @ Sam & Dave Nagahoribashi with very special guest John Wood, founder of Room to Read (www.roomtoread.org).
For those of you new to B4B, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children. We'll also be selling raffle tickets for some great prizes.
We'll start the evening with a short presentation by John Wood around 6:30PM which will give everyone in attendance a brief outline of the work of Room to Read and their future vision. We'll also hear from the local Kansai Chapter of Room to Read about all the activities happening there and opportunities for people to get involved.
Following the presentations, we'll have a few hours of Beers for Books fun hosted by Sam & Dave.
Breaking news....we've added critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Stuart O'Connor on tour from London to the evening's festvities. He'll be on stage to perform some songs from his latest album "The Distance From Here"!
Come on out and have a good time while doing good time. Please be sure to invite your friends and come ready to create some books!

There is no entrance charge, we have room for 500 people, and you and your friends are welcome.
