Beers for Books Night for Nepal @ Lighthouse in Kokubunji

Beers for Books returns to the coziest bar west of Kichijoji--the Lighthouse in Kokubunji, with a casual night of mirthmaking and fundraising for Nepal.


The Lighthouse was one of B4B's very early supporters and we're thrilled to be supporting Nepal on the night, home of two of their staff.  They'll be preparing special food and drink from the "Roof of The World".

For those of you new to Beers for Books, the concept is simple: For every drink you have 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via Room to Read.

Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy. Room to Read has projects in 10 countries in Asia and Africa including Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. For more details see www.roomtoread.org or in Japanese www.roomtoread.jp.

Beers for books（B4B） のイベントが国分寺のバーに帰ってくる！居心地の良いカフェバーの｢ライトハウス｣で、楽しく、ネパールの支援をしながら、カジュアルな夜を過ごしましょう。

ライトハウスには、B4Bにかなり昔からご協力頂いており、今回、店のスタッフ2名の母国でもあるネパールに支援ができ、私共も嬉しく思います。ライトハウスでは、いわゆる「世界の屋根」の料理、お飲み物の特別メニューをご用意しております。

B4Bのコンセプトは至ってシンプルです。あなたが1杯飲むたびに、自動的に100円ずつNPO法人ルーム・トゥ・リード(Room to Read) に寄付され、同法人を通じ、子供達に素敵な本がプレゼントされるのです。
