Lunch Trip for Beers for Books @ Zest

A really interesting group of young professionals created a fun social group called Lunch Trip, which has a weekend lunch event which "travels" to a different country every month.

In July, they've decided they'd like to have a night-time event to support Beers for Books and they will welcome both members and non-members of their group to join in the fun. Lunch Trip especially welcomes adventurous people who enjoy traveling and exploring new places.

For those of you new to B4B, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys one treasured local-language book for kids in places like Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. Have a drink, create a book!

For this event, they'd like everyone to show up with something that they bought from an overseas trip. Ideally, this would be some kind of clothing, but you can bring some kind of decorative item too. Be prepared to share stories of your travels overseas. :-) Zest is a Tex-Mex themed restaurant, but you can come with stuff from wherever you've been (or are from).

There is no admission charge, and all drinks sold from 7PM - 10PM will create a treasured book for kids. Zezt will be preparing a special feed menu too with donations to Room to Read. Food will be available from their regular menu too.

For those of you going clubbing in the neighborhood on Saturday night, this would be a great place for dinner and some warm-up drinks.
