Guess its too late for giving you some ideas on the pitch but the basic benefits to the bar owner are 1) You'll bring new people to their place. 2) Great PR/publicity/halo effect for their business. 3) Their donation is tax deductible (Room to Read is a 501(c)3. 4) Their employees will love doing something good while working. 5) Bar owner doing good.
If Godfather's didn't work, a good target is always a bar that serves quality craft beer. They tend to "get it" pretty quickly. Let me know if you have any questions.
