Beers for Books @ Craftheads in Shibuya

If you live anywhere near Tokyo and you love beer, you've gotta check out Craftheads. This bar carries some of the world's best (and often rarest) beers on tap and in bottles.

Some recent breweries' hoppy nectar include imports Stone, Green Flash, Three Floyds, Ballast Point, etc. as well as local favorites Swan Lake, Sankt Gallen, Shiga Kogen, etc. You may have heard about these beers but didn't know where you can get them.

So beer lovers--come and join us for an ALL DAY Beers for Books event at this recently opened beer mecca and enjoy some great beers for a great cause.

If you'd like to learn more about beer, we'll be updating this page soon with details on an early evening beer education component for this event when some of the local beer experts will share their knowledge to enhance your enjoyment of beer tasting.

For those of you new to Beers for Books, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via Room to Read.

Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy.
