Canyons Beers for Books Winter 2010 in Minakami!

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!: It seems like all you beer drinkers prefer to have a cold one or three in warmer temperatures, so we're going to postpone this event until July 3 for a summertime whitewater rafting/canyoning weekend like the legendary one we did last year. More details coming soon, but we'll get a BIG crowd out for that one, so you'll need to plan/book early.

You're still very much welcome to get up to Minakami for some late season snow fun this weekend, we just won't be doing a B4B party in the evening. We'll be keeping our powder dry until July 3rd and I hope to see you there!

For this weekend, there will be a number of tours available on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (national holiday) during the day allowing everyone to enjoy the great outdoors for which Minakami is so well-known. Here are the various packages which Canyons is offering:

Catered BBQ (bare bones package): 3,000 yen

Lodge accommodation, BBQ and breakfast (recommended basic package): 8,000 yen

Winter Tours:

Back country skiing/boarding (basic tour): 9,000 yen

Snow-shoeing: 9,000 yen (full day), 5,000 yen (half day)

Ski/Board lessons: 25,000 yen (full day), 16,000 yen (half day)

There are also shuttle buses available to nearby ski areas for those experienced skiers and boarders who want to set out on their own. Stay for two nights and enjoy the long weekend!
